Black Cod
Preheat the grill to medium-high heat (~375°F / 190°C). Brush the cod fillets with oil to prevent sticking. Place the fillets on the grill, skin side down if applicable. Grill for 3–4 minutes per side, depending on thickness, until the fish is opaque and flakes easily. Use a fish spatula to carefully flip the fillets. Optionally, you can wrap the cod in foil for a more gentle cooking process and to retain moisture.
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Wrap the cod fillets tightly in aluminum foil to retain moisture. If the cod is thawed, bake for approximately 20 minutes. If the cod is frozen, bake for approximately 25 minutes. The cod is done when it flakes apart easily and is opaque in the middle.
Preheat a skillet over medium-high heat and add a bit of oil or butter. Once hot, place the cod fillets in the pan. Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the fish flakes easily and is opaque in the middle. If the cod fillets are thick, you can lower the heat to medium and cook a bit longer to ensure they cook through without burning the outside.
Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Wrap the cod fillets in aluminum foil, leaving space for air circulation. Cook the fillets for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, or until the fish flakes easily and is opaque in the middle. If the fillets are frozen, you may need to add an extra 2-3 minutes of cooking time.
